we need votes!!

well, I have been terribly lazy with posting deals here (sorry about that) and clipping my own coupons. My stack is now about 2 feet tall and I just can't bring myself to clip and organize them. I still use them it just takes more work! I got 12 travel sized pert plus, 3 secret clinical trials, 5 gain 40ct fabric softener sheets and a tub of hillshire farm lunchmeat at walmart the other day for $2.44. But it takes a lot more work because they are not organized. anyway.....maybe someday I will get motivated :) We NEED your vote!! We are trying to win Aces playoff tickets and are in second place right now. The voting ends tomorrow (tueday) and you can email facebook@alaskaaces.com and put "vote for #13" in the subject line. It will only take a minute and i really appreciate it!!

SOOOOO....I went crazy, and they were out of some stuff so I will be going back later in the week. got 29 items (1 extra, multiples of 7 remember) and after coupons and figuring in the gift cards I received I paid $10.11. The cashier did give me an extra $5 gift card....think he just wanted me to go away :) so if you wanted to repeat this it would be $15.11 but still only .52 per item. I got frozen veggies and rice, motz. cheese sticks, chicken burritos, chicken sandwiches, a few frozen pizzas and a half gallon of ice cream. Not going to lie, it was some work and figuring, plus 3 transactions, but I made it work and am super happy with the deals I got! I did get some other things too, but I saved $103 on all my orders

amazon deals and target trip

Bundle of fun this Friday evening........

Today I was at Target and I saved over $55 and spent $19.98 . that was a great trip! It takes time and practice, but the reward is great :)

Now onto this.... Amazon.com has a few great grocery deals right now. They usually don't last long at a low price and shoot back up randomly so if interested act fast! I got chicken of the sea 48 pack tuna in water for $21.32, emerald peanuts 4.5 oz canister 12 pack for $6.72 and Fruity pebbles 11 oz pack of 4 for 7.64. Shipping was free with super saver. You do have to be patient though as these items won't ship for about 5 weeks but I don't need it right now anyway and the price was great!! .44 per can of tuna, .56 per canister of nuts and 1.91 per box of cereal. Now granted, I could have gotten cereal a lot cheaper (.25 a box today at Target) but my kids like THIS cereal and I hardly ever buy cereal they like so this is a treat I guess.

Coupons from the last 2 weeks are here. 4 inserts for $3 including 2 free breakfast subs from subway when you buy any drink and a $3 gain fabric softener coupon. Let me know if you them and will hold onto one for you!

Let me know if you want them and I will be at church this weekend and at MOM's on Tuesday.

slow week

This is one of those slow sale weeks where I am so glad I have a stocked pantry and a freezer with meat in it. If I didn't I would most likely be overpaying for a lot of things this week.

for those of you new to this let me give you a few tricks I use:
1. stock up on staples when they are on sale. I may not need 10 cans of something this week, but I will need them eventually, and I'd rather get all 10 on sale for .33/ can and store them, then pay .99 a can later.
2. buy more then 1 weeks worth of meat when it's on sale. separate according to your families needs and freeze in ziplock with instructions on what is inside. I sometimes even cook it, expecially ground beef, for spagetti or tacos so it unthaws and is ready to go in under 5 min if I need it.
3. pull from your stock when the sales are slow. You don't have to go get groceries every week. You may just need a few things like milk, bread and produce.

A few coupon terms to know:
Stacking: using one manufacturer coupon and one store coupon per one item. If freds has an in-ad coupon for something it says "fred meyer coupon" and you have a manufaturer coupon for the same item, you can use both coupons to purchase 1 item. you may not use 2 manufacturer coupons per 1 item.

RR: register rewards at walgreens. You purchase something with a RR on it. After you pay a coupon prints out with your reward on it. $4 off your next purchase....something like that. Excludes certain things like postage, etc. Most of the time now these do not "roll" which means you get one $4 off from purchasing the razor in this weeks ad. You go back while the sale is still going on and get another razor and use the RR to pay. You will not get another RR for the new razor you purchased. so mix up those RR for different items. Takes some practice and I don't do RR very often

Printable coupons: coupons available for print from home. You can print 2 of each usually using the back and then refresh buttons on your computer. I like to be next to the printer and if an ad starts to print after the coupon I hit cancel. some sites for coupons are listed below
smartsource.com
redplum.com
coupons.com
bettycrocker.com
target.com

Load coupons onto store cards at the store website or shortcuts.com and cellfire.com
